A Chesterfield headboard is hand-tufted the old way: a craftsman working a needle through the diamond pattern one intersection at a time, not a machine stamping a pattern into foam. The Roma wears that headboard in a deep teal velvet, which is a braver colour choice than most bedrooms get — and it earns the confidence, because the tufting gives it depth and shadow a flat panel can't manage.
Underneath sits a solid hardwood frame, the same structural decision as everything else we build in the Liversedge workshop: a low modern base with clean vertical panelling, so the drama stays in the headboard and the rest of the frame stays quiet.

Handmade to order; allow 2-3cm dimensional variance, the mark of a bed genuinely built by hand. Product photography uses an 18cm mattress depth — visible headboard proportion will vary slightly with your own mattress.
